Replaced broken digitizer and reassembled screen not working

Hi,

I replaced my broken digitizer screen and after reassembling everything and power on, my screen turns on, but with lots and lots of white lines and parts of it black.

What could have happened?

LCD screen is dead? or is it something else ?

Chris, yes it could be a bad LCD. But it is also possible that your connector is not making proper contact. Double, no triple check your work. If that does not resolve the issue, replace the LCD once more. Hope this helps, good luck.

Well I tried everything by unplugging the video cable and replugging it back in and it stays the same.

So I have decided to order a new LCD screen, but can i just order any screen or it must be the same model/brand screen ?

Cause this screen is from the manufacture Chimei INNOLUX model N101ICG -L21 Ver. C1. I have tried searching for this model screen, but the places that sell this model screen are out of stock.

Any suggestion?

Chris, thank you for accepting my answer. I've always been a bit leary about just replacing LCD panels with other panels, unless I had a chance to look at the data sheets. In your case, take a look on here http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=... and see what you find. Always contact the vendor first to make sure that it will fit, and that you can return it if not.
