How do I replace a broken LCD View screen?

I need to replace a broken LCD view screen, so would like to purchase the LCD and repair it myself. Looks like the entire camera body needs to be dis-assembled in order to accomplish this task.

Bill Wernsing, you will have to remove the

FRONT COVER UNIT

REAR COVER UNIT

BATTERY LID UNIT,

DATE BATTERY HOLDER

SIDE COVER, CF COVER

TOP COVER. Obviously , to many steps that make it tough to post completely on here. I added the service manual to the device page. Page 3-3 and on will show you all you need to know to get the job accomplished. Go to this page, scroll down to Repair Documents and click on the blue canon-powershot-g3.pdf link.
