As warranties vary from country to country , you may have to either check the warranty details that shipped with your computer or use this link to find out what the warranty is where you are.
I sincerely doubt that the damage will be covered under warranty.
The following quote is from the service manual for the laptop taken from this webpage.
I have highlighted what I believe to be the relevant section
“ You should only perform troubleshooting and repairs as authorized or directed by the Dell technical assistance team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. See the safety instructions that shipped with the product or at www.dell.com/regulatory_compliance ”
I think the only thing to do now is to continue on as it won’t be fixed under warranty.
The manual I linked shows the procedure to replace the fan (see p.39)
Replacement fans are available online.
