Does anyone know a compatible hard drive for this?

@nick you sure? I just checked and it looks like a 3.5in SATA III interface HDD. @aaronellio86573 give us the complete model number for your computer so we can verify things for you.

@oldturkey03 Best I can quickly go off of is the device :/. It looks like the old P4 chassis, unless this is the HSW era 700.

@nick could very well be and not saying you are wrong. I guess we better wait and see what info @aaronellio86573 can give us.

@oldturkey03 Yeah, for all intents and purposes I'm referring to the selected device for now, but gave advice for the Haswell version. It might be the P4 version being from a yardsale, but Haswell is surplus equipment now so we can't rely on that :(. 8-10th gen is good surplus, 11-12th gen is premium secondary market hardware for Intel. Ask anyone scoring 11th gen boards and CPUs; we're making out well but paying for it; nobody is giving them away yet.

Hi all, thank you for your quick replies! I'm not even sure where I would plug in a hard drive if I found one, but that is the least of my problems right now. The tower will no longer turn on after I removed the core and reinstalled it!! I'm not sure what I did wrong as it is totally seated properly, and the PC is still getting power, but the fan for the PSU won't even turn on now. Help!!

Looks at those prices and thanks myself for hoarding them while they were young and cheap. I only hoarded them because of budget issues at the time.

@nick I know right. Maybe some used drive from ebay etc. would be cheaper.

@oldturkey03 This is why we hoard. You end up with them before they get loaded with hours and issues.

This is why I hated destroying them when I can keep it. With SATA they're common enough it's not a issue outside of old equipment but that's it. I'd be inclined to try a SATA>IDE adapter at those prices.
