Unfortunately you’ll have to restore it to factory losing everything unless it’s backed up.

To restore it then phone should be off. If you can't turn it off then follow below.

1, connect your phone to a computer via USB

2, press and hold power and volume down until the screen goes black.

3, when it goes black quickly press and hold power and volume up until a black screen with various options appears.

4, scroll down to wipe phone, factory reset using the volume buttons.

5, press power to confirm the reset the click yes on the next screen.

The phone will wipe ready to be set up again.

You will need your Google email address and password to set up your phone again.

This.

OP, for future reference, if you are not good with passwords you should just setup your phone with no password, or to *only* use your face/fingerprint, since that is not something you can forget. It will not have the security to protect your data, but having unprotected data and just not saving sensitive data is better than having to erase your data every week when you inevitably forget your password again.

(Speaking from experience, as I have had multiple (over 20) clients in here multiple times a month for this same thing over and over because some people just cannot remember a password to save their life, even if it is written down.)

@erelectronics I get it all the time too. Pensioners are the worst. They come in with a book or a piece of paper covered in various passwords but can't remember which is which. So annoying lol. Worst thing is they'll spend longer in the shop than it takes to fix a phone.

@erelectronics

Can't you just setup the phone to sync their data to the cloud so that when they forget at least their data isn't lost?

Also use the Find My Mobile feature with the remote unlock enabled?

Or do they forget their account details as well ;-)

@jayeff sometimes they've forgotten the account details too. I had a taxi driver who'd been given a phone as payment. He wanted it wiped so I did it and charged him for my time. As he doesn't know the account details he now has a new paperweight.

@jayeff If they cannot remember a 4 digit, numbers only pin to unlock your phone, what makes you think they can remember a 8+ digit, lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and at least one special character password to gain access to their cloud account?

Yes, I have tried that. On this class of client that I am referring to, it only makes matters worse.
