Touch screen does not work

@williamwewaniuk the very first thing I would check is to make sure that your software up to date. Check this in Settings > Software update > Download and install. and do is to run the Samsung Diagnostic test.

Next you could try and put the phone in Safe Mode which disables any third party app but your stock App's will continue to work. If it works normal in this mode., you know that it is a 3rd party app that is causing the error. If so, exit safe mode and start deleting your downloaded Apps.

After that, check your hardware. To run the diagnostic do this:

Dial *#0*# ➡ Samsung Hardware Diagnostic Test Menu

Now you should see the menu that allows you to test the Touch option on your phone. If it fails the test, you know that this is a display error. Your touchscreen is part of the assembly. To fix that you will need to replace it. Use this guide Samsung Galaxy A32 5G 스크린 교체 to work on it.

As for resetting your phone you could try a force reset by holding down the Side key and the volume down button simultaneously until the screen goes black.

The final eset would be a factory reset but that will delete all of your files (pictures/music/contacts/ SMS). You will also need your Google email address and password that you used when you setup the phone originally. Without that you can not access your phone after a factory reset.

Remember that your phone will depend on the touchscreen to do all of the test and checking. If you have a broken (touch)screen then none of this can be done. Ultimately,a bad display is my prime suspect.
