If your UE Boom portable speaker is refusing to turn on, see the UE Boom Won’t Turn On problem page for possible problems and solutions. 1. Try a factory reset (1) Press and hold down both the volume button and the power button for about 10 seconds until you hear a sound. After that the device should turn off. Try turning it on after that. 2. If that doesn't work try using the USB cable and plugging your UE BOOM into your computer (a software may automatically install for the USB connection). Try turning it on while you are connected, then disconnect and turn the power off, then turn it back on like normal again. Try moving your speaker closer to your phone or tablet to make sure the Bluetooth is in range. 2. If your phone or tablet is connected to Wi-fi it will make the pairing more efficient 3. The UE BOOM can only connect to two devices at a time so make sure that you aren't connected to the maximum number of devices already. 4. If you have two UE BOOM speakers make sure that you are connecting to the correct one. 5. If the first 4 steps do not solve the problem try applying a factory reset to your UE BOOM. ***Hold down the power button and the volume down button for roughly 10 seconds until you hear a sound. 1. Open your Bluetooth device menu on your phone/tablet 2. Locate your UE BOOM and tap the Settings icon next to it. 3. Tap Rename and enter the new name for your speaker. Your charging cable may have worn out wires and needs replacement. 2. Your charging port in the UE Boom may need to be cleaned out from dirt and debris. 3. Your lithium battery may need replacement. (1) Try the first two options first, replacing the battery requires you to void your warranty and take apart your device.
