- Name: Delaney Borello
- School: The University of Rhode Island
- Majors: I am a double major in Marine Affairs and Environmental Economics. My goal after undergrad is to go on to law school to practice environmental law.
- Skills: detail-oriented, advanced technology skills, money management, and customer service expertise.
- Projects/accomplishments: I am the market manager of our school's Free Farmers' Market, where we hand out produce to students for free every week, and deliver produce to our basic needs pantry on campus. I am also co-service chair at the Catholic Center on campus, where another student and myself collaborate to create volunteer opportunities for our community.
- I've never "fixed" anything, but when I was in middle school, I contacted a well-known soap company because they had a spelling error on their website.
- Awards: National Latin Exam Magna Cum Laude award presented to me my freshman year of high school, NHS, received recognition for my math and engineering skills in high school, received an English award at a student awards night in high school, enrolled in the honors program at my university.
- Clubs/organizations: I have spent much of my life volunteering and working for my local Boys and Girls Clubs, URI's Free Farmers' Market, and Rhody Catholic.
- Hobbies: I play piano, golf, bake, hike, and spend time with my dog in my free time.
- This project will be beneficial to me because it will allow me to connect what I've learned in class with real-life work.
- Fun facts: I have a dog named Gracie (in my profile picture). My favorite book is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I love baking and cooking, and growing up in an Italian household, these values were and are important to my family.
- I love to travel. This is a view from my flight in January on my way back from Missouri.
- I took my mom to see sunflowers at a sunflower festival for her birthday this summer.
