Hi! My name is Alena and I'm a 3rd year undergraduate student at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, majoring in Graphic Communication with a concentration in UX/UI. I am also pursuing a linguistics minor and a certificate to teach English to speakers of other languages. I hope to take my knowledge of the expanded design field and pursue a career where design, user experience, media, and production design intersect. To hone in on my design skills and further my experience, I joined iter8 and Nikkei Student Union (NSU), two campus clubs where I design digital interfaces and print pieces. I joined the iFixit community with my ENGL 221 class to gain hands-on experience in technical writing and editing. Outside of academics, I like to spend time reading novels, watching television shows and movies, thrifting at Ross, and exploring the city.
