Spindle is tight and it is not spinning

Did you put the spindle on tight enough? Sometimes a spindle fails because it is rubbing against the housing. This could be because the spindle just needs to be pushed down a little further. If the spindle is on as tight as possible and it still experiences friction, the spindle might be too big. Also check for obstructions that are preventing the spindle to rotate freely. Some models of PlayStations require different size spindles, so you should look up spindles specifically for your model and try those. Never get cheap knockoffs, because they never work right. You might have to sacrifice price to get a genuine spindle for your model, but it will be well worth it.
