Kdl40ex720 turned off after 1 sec and 4 blinks
Turn off and4 red blinks after turned on 1 sec.kdl40ex720....balancer panel error...what should i do first?

Flo Ned, 4 blinks on the LED on Sonys is usually related to the backlight driver / inverter board (or circuit), but it can also be the main board. It’s kinda tricky to diagnose at first, so what I suggest you do is to unplug the TV then hold the power button for 30 seconds, to drain residual power. Take off the back cover, but be careful as there are high voltage capacitors in there that could still hold a charge.
Take some good quality and pose pictures of the boards, then update your question with those. Adding images to existing questions. It makes it easier for us to help if we can see what you see, and sometimes we can point out clear faults.

Flo NEd it could possibly be the LCD board. it is also possible that this is caused by a bad power board (not supplying the proper voltages), or bad LED strips. You could try to measure to the LED string while your TV tries to start up. Since there are four strings in this panel, you would need to do that four times. It might help if you can post pictures of all of your boards and the wiring in between those boards. That way we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question - iFixit Repair Guide
