Device will not update 

The device responds slowly, and the software will not update.  

 

Low battery 

Check the battery life of your device and ensure that it has enough power to perform the update. Plug the charger into the device and wait until it reaches a high enough battery life to start and complete the update. If the device does not charge when plugged in, then replace the charger. If issues continue with the battery, refer to the Poor battery life section.

 

No Wi-Fi 

Ensure that the device is connected to Wi-Fi or has a strong enough connection to guarantee that the update will go through. If you face Wi-Fi connection issues, please refer to this guide:

Low storage space 

If the device is connected to the Wi-Fi and is fully charged, then the storage is full and the storage is full. Your cache may be busy and need to be cleaned. To clear your cache, please refer to this guide:

If issues continue after clearing the cache, then the SIM card needs to be replaced. To replace the SIM card, please refer to this guide:

Poor battery life 

The device is experiencing a significant decrease in battery life, requiring frequent recharging. 

 

Excessive background applications running 

Start by closing all unnecessary applications running in the background. Enabling low-battery mode on the device will also increase the current battery charge. Regularly updating applications and the device’s operating system will ensure apps are running as efficiently as possible.

 

High screen brightness settings 

Adjust screen brightness to a lower level to reduce power consumption while still being at a comfortable viewing level. Decreasing the brightness will ensure the current battery charge will last longer than it would otherwise. Please refer to the following guide:

Battery degradation  

If the battery is older and has undergone significant usage, it may need to be replaced. You can visit an authorized service center to have the battery replaced or if you are comfortable replacing it yourself, please refer to the following guide: Battery Replacement Guide

 

Touchscreen is unresponsive 

Device will not fully respond to user touch, or at all.  

 

Significant water exposure 

If the device has been dropped or exposed to water, one should immediately shut down the device and attempt to remove the battery. The device should then be dried from the outside as best as possible, and then should be left out to dry for 24-48 hours. To remove the battery, please refer to that respective part of the battery replacement guide found under the Poor battery life section.

 

Damaged screen 

Check if the screen is damaged; if the screen has been damaged or cracked, it may not receive accurate touch inputs, if at all. You can visit an authorized service center to have the screen replaced, or if you are comfortable replacing it yourself, please refer to the following guide: Screen Replacement Guide

 

Unclean screen  

Check if the screen is unclean; any dirt or grime on the surface can prevent interaction and responsiveness. If there is dirt or grime, one should wipe down their device’s screen with disinfectant wipes and then gently pat dry.

 

Stylus is unresponsive 

The stylus is not being fully detected or giving accurate inputs. 

 

Unclean stylus or screen 

Check to see if either the stylus or screen has any dirt or grime on their surfaces; this could prevent the stylus from interacting with the screen, as well as the screen with the stylus. If so, lightly clean the screen or stylus with a disinfectant wipe, and then gently pat dy.

 

Damaged stylus or screen 

If the screen or stylus are both clean, check if the screen or stylus are damaged in any way. If the stylus is damaged, such as a broken tip or cracks, replacement may be necessary. If the screen is damaged, please refer to the Touchscreen is unresponsive section.

Blurry photos and videos 

The device produces out-of-focus photos and videos during recordings, affecting the quality of the captured media. 

 

Lens contamination 

Check if the camera lens is covered with any dirt or grime; this can affect the quality of photos and videos by causing them to be out of focus or blurry. If so, lightly clean the outside of the lens with a disinfectant wipe, and then gently pat dry.

 

Software malfunction 

Check if the software on the device is up to date; installing the latest software updates can resolve compatibility issues and improve camera quality. If this does not work, review the camera settings on the device to see if any settings are impacting quality; all settings can be reset to default by factory resetting the device. Before factory resetting the device, attempt to start the device in safe mode to see if any problematic applications are responsible; to do this, please refer to the following guide:

Hardware malfunction 

If the issue persists, either the rear or front camera may be damaged; if so, you can visit an authorized service center to have the camera replaced, or if you are comfortable replacing it yourself, please refer to the following guide: Camera Lens Replacement Guide

Poor audio quality 

The quality of sound is reduced, affecting clarity of audio playback or recording. 

 

Hardware malfunction 

This may include issues with the device's speakers, headphone jack, or microphone. To troubleshoot hardware malfunctions, begin by testing the audio output through different audio sources to determine if the issue persists across multiple audio channels. Visually inspect the device for physical debris obstructing the audio components. Please refer to the following guide:

Software malfunction
