Released in October of 2012, the 3520 model notebook is a part of the Inspiron product line and the 15 series from Dell, Inc. The Inspiron 15 3520 is both affordable and capable of meeting a variety of needs.

The 3520 model features a 500 Gigabyte (GB) hard drive which provides plenty of space for many different uses. The notebook also comes with 4 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM) which means that the computer is very capable of completing the various tasks the user requires it to do quickly and without delay. With 4 GB of RAM, the computer is capable of meeting a variety of user needs. The notebook also contains a 2nd generation Dual Core Intel i3 Processor which allows the computer to sort through large amounts of data quickly. The notebook is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2200 milliamp-henrys (mAh). The Inspiron 15 3520’s software includes the 64 - bit Windows 7 Home Premium operating system (OS). This is a very popular operating system used on Dell computers that once again suits a variety of needs. It is a notable upgrade from the previous Windows Vista OS which had a few flaws. No recalls have been initiated on the 3520 model.

The data input devices include a basic keyboard, a touchpad, and a 15.6 inch Active Matrix LCD screen. It contains an HDMI port, 3 USB ports, a VGA port and both audio line in and line out ports. The notebook comes in a sleek black color with dimensions of 1.4 inches in height, 14.8 inches in width, and a depth of 10.2 inches, weighing 5.2 lbs.

Although the 3520 model is very similar to competing models, it lacks a 3.0 USB port which means it has no possibility for upgrades to the storage space.
